Nicole Mallalieu Design sells an excellent interfacing called S520, it's very good for wide brims, similar to the red hat I showed you in class.

It is very stiff and great for WIDE brims. You would not need to get it for a winter hat but if you want to make a very wide brimmed summer hat then you should get some.
